It's kind of strange how our visit to the Easter Bunny preceded the St. Patrick's Day celebrations... it's always weird when Easter is in March, especially 6 days after St. Patty's!!
I wasn't really planning anything this year for St. Patty's. I thought about going to the parade with my cousin and sister, but I didn't have anyone to watch Brendan all day. My mom and I decided to go up to Claddaugh Irish Pub, which is a restaurant as well as a bar. We figured we'd go at a time where many people were downtown at the parade, the lunch rush would be over, and the after-work partiers were still working!
Luckily I wasn't the only mom who brought her kid in tow with the other Irish celebrants, as there were plenty of little ones dancing to the bagpipes and Irish music. Brendan was a little hesitant to dance, but as the music kept playing, he became brave enough to bust a few moves on the dance floor. As usual, kids were the only ones on the dance floor, but everyone loves to watch them!
We stayed from 2 until 5:30, leaving just as the after-work, more "adult" crowd was about to take over! Unfortunately we couldn't stay to witness the craziness that was most likely about to take place. Our little Irishman was a trooper today! I think he'll be celebrating St. Patty's Day for years to come...

Lord of the Dance...
Don't these moves make ANY of you ladies want to dance with me?... I must dance like my dad.
"It's not polite to stare"... we're working on that one.
Frienemies: Brendan's new dance partner Greta turned out to be a binky stealer... we thought it was cute, but he didn't!
