Who Doesn't LOVE a New Pair of Shoes...

Do I really need ANOTHER reason to LOVE Target?? Not really, but I got one!

Are these NOT the cutest, pinkest, glittery, sparkly, rhinestoney, blingy pair of shoes you've ever seen?? WE just had to have these... and I bought the next 2 sizes in them too! They are too cute to only be worn for 3 months before she outgrows them :-)

Thank GOODNESS Brooke doesn't have the DOUBLE Wide foot her brother had as a baby, and can actually fit into shoes sold somewhere other than Stride Rite... for a mere $50 plus, you can own your own pair of Stride Rite shoes, too... I am so happy to say, I have yet to visit Stride Rite with Brooke, and Jeff is MORE than pleased :-) But, don't tell him that in my mind, this only means that Miss Brooke can now own 4-5 pairs of Target shoes per season, as opposed to 1 pair from Stride Rite per season!!

And I know, I know, Stride Rite shoes are supposed to be better for growing babies feet and they have high-tech shoes that are the best, etc... But pretty much Brooke is in Robeez, or bare feet for 80 to 90% of the day. And the other 10-20% she's in "it hurts to be a woman, just get used to it" training :-) ...(And as I just googled the Robeez link, I saw they are now owned by Stride Rite!! But technically, I did NOT go to Stride Rite for them, we got them at Nordstrom!)

And now that Brendan is older, he can also fit into Target shoes! Santa Claus brought him these light up Spiderman shoes in a Size 11, but they were too tight. Can you believe we found the SAME ones at Target in Size 12 to exchange, AND Target took them back, even though Santa brought them?! Brendan couldn't believe it, and now he's on the Target bandwagon, too :-)

I love that this picture portrays a loving brother helping his sister up... And while he really is mostly a loving brother, what you don't see or hear is that once Brooke realizes he is touching her or has his arms around her, she yells at him in her 1 year old "NAAAAAAH", pushes his hands away, and runs. She is SO independent around him and gets so mad when he comes too close. And Brendan is the opposite! I often refer to him as The Close-Talker from Seinfeld, LOL. The kid has NO personal space issues, and because of that, Brooke will have MAJOR personal space issues!

Having a new shoes dance party on the fireplace. That's their stage in case you were wondering :-)
