Brendan's 1st Christmas, 6 months old!
Brooke's 1st Christmas, 6 weeks old!!
...and then look at them TODAY, just a few days away from Christmas, 2010!!
I know Brendan has grown the most since his first Christmas, but because Brooke was such a newborn JUST last year, she is giving me the teary eyes today!! Look at her just ONE YEAR ago!! So crazy... this year she has a favorite character, Dora, (doo-doo-doo-dooo, she says!) and is saying words, running around, and is such an independent little girly! So not that way last year. I remember being up half the night last Christmas Eve, trying to get her to sleep after that 3am feeding with the fan going, and the water running, all while she was swaddled up so tight in her little blanket. And when she wasn't swaddled she was all wrapped up in her little cocoon, black, Moby wrap... Oh, that thing saved my life!!
All snuggled and sleeping Christmas morning...
I still can't believe what a difference a year can make, especially from newborn to one year old... that is the hugest transition for me, at least. Even looking at pictures of Brendan from last year, too! His face still has that "baby" 3 year old look. Now he's a big boy 4 year old and has LOST that baby look. (wiping tears, sniff, sniff) STOP GROWING UP, Kids!!! Jeez! You're breaking my heart!! Time for another one, I think! :-)
