I Think We Need More Practice...

Today I let Brendan help me get out all of our baby items that were packed away in the basement -- so far just the carseat, swing, and little baby seat. Wow, I never realized what "fun" could be had with all of that stuff, and how much I would be praying it wouldn't break before I get the chance to use it for the second time!!

We put new batteries in everything, which will probably be dead by the time this baby arrives in a few weeks. We have one baby doll, (which I know in a couple of years I will have 20!) so she got to ride in everything and Brendan practiced strapping her in. He got out all of his play food and dumped it in the swing to feed her. We tried to talk about being gentle, and how he won't be able to pick up "Brookie" when she comes here, but he is certainly welcome to help me take care of her, etc. If this new baby is treated in the same matter as the baby doll was today, then she will be one tough little cookie :-) I am hoping when we bring her home, Brendan will be a little more "gentle" -- please God!!
